Photograph your forehead

Begin with a neutral expression. Keep eyebrows, forehead and hairline in the frame.

For a usable photo
  • Use even, indirect light.
  • Face the camera straight on.
  • Move hair away from the forehead.
  • Keep a relaxed, neutral expression.

What is a Mastak Rekha reading?

Mastak Rekha is a traditional, symbolic way of discussing visible forehead form and markings. This browser tool first separates objective image evidence—framing, forehead proportions and crease candidates—from historical interpretation. It does not infer identity, health, intelligence, trustworthiness or protected traits, and it withholds personalized claims when no reviewed source rule supports them.

Visible evidence before tradition

Face landmarks locate an eyebrow-to-upper-forehead region. A conservative ridge check may propose visible horizontal or vertical crease candidates. These candidates are not automatically Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury or Moon lines.

How to photograph the forehead

Use even indirect light, face the camera straight on, move hair away and keep a neutral expression. A sharp photo should show both eyebrows and the area toward the hairline. The image is processed locally and is not uploaded or stored.

Neutral lines and expression folds

A slightly raised-eyebrow photo is optional and supplemental. Comparing it with the neutral photo can flag a fold that appears only with expression; such a fold must not be treated as a permanent line.

Indian and Western traditions

Indian Samudrika sources and Western Metoposcopy sources have different histories and vocabularies. Comparative mode presents their source status separately and does not fill a missing rule from one school with a claim from the other.

Mastak Reader questions

Is forehead reading scientifically proven?

No. It is a historical interpretive tradition, not a validated scientific, medical or psychological assessment.

Is my face photo uploaded?

No. Decoding, landmarking and candidate tracing are designed to run locally in the browser; the raw photo is not saved.

Why can a result be partial?

Hair, crop, pose, focus or missing reviewed doctrine can make a specific observation unavailable without blocking the rest of the evidence report.
